Connect. Plug the PickleGate forks into PG1 and PG2 on the Hub, switch it on and press Connect Bluetooth (or Connect USB). The beam bars go red while something blocks a gate. No hub yet? Demo simulates the selected experiment.
Speed. Set the flag width; each time the flag clears the gate, v = w / Δt is added as a trial.
Two gates. Set the gate spacing. The time from the first gate blocking to the second gives the average speed v̄ = d / Δt; the speed at each gate (w / Δt) and the time between their midpoints give the acceleration a = (v₂ − v₁) / Δt. Use the presets for the rail or the marble launcher.
Pendulum. Hang the bob so it swings through one gate. It blocks twice per swing, so the period is the time between every other block. Enter the string length to compare with T = 2π√(L/g).
Picket fence. Drop (or roll) a card with evenly spaced dark bands through one gate. Each band gives v = d / Δt; the slope of v against t is the acceleration — about 9.8 m/s² in free fall.
